The winners of the first edition of the Quran Competition for Religious Cadres were honored in a ceremony in the Wilayat of Sur, South A’Sharqiyah Governorate of Oman, on January 5, 2026.

 

The ceremony was held by the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the governorate under the auspices of Ahmed Saleh al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The event featured a vocal performance and a visual presentation detailing the competition's progress through its various stages.

Nasser Ali al Busaidi, Director of the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in South A’Sharqiyah, highlighted the significance of this inaugural edition for religious staff due to its connection to the Holy Book, emphasizing that the competition is more than a contest; it is a means of spiritual cultivation and heart purification.
